SKIOLD MILL

Mill of the Company SKIOLD is located on the territory of LLC “Nezabudinskyi Elevator”.

The mill consists of five lines for manufacturing flour with capacity of 500 kg/hour for grain per a line.

Building of the mill consists of three departments.
  • Raw material department
  • Processing department
  • Finished products warehouse
Raw material department contains the equipment as follows:
  • Four bunkers for processed grain, each one of 25 tons volume; total volume is 100 tons;
  • DAMAS separator for cleaning grain from impurities;
  • Bunker for grain post-cleaning of 10 tons volume.
Processing department contains the equipment as follows:

Machine for moisturizing grain with water;

Five bunkers for lying of moistened grain, each one of 10 tons volume

Five roller machines for preliminary grinding of grain, separation of husk and its particles from pure grain. Capacity of one machine for grain processing is 500 kg/h as per technical passport, and its actual capacity is 450 kg/h;

Five millstones for grinding of grit into flour;

Grinding machine for complete grinding of bran into flour.

Two packing machines for packing flour into 25 kg or 50 kg bags.

Six screens (sifting machines) for sifting of flour into various fractions of flour grades, bran;

Finished products warehouse of 313.2 m2.

There are 5 lines for production of flour in processing department; capacity of one line for grain is 500 kg/h as per technical passport, and actual capacity is 450-460 kg/h. When using grain of basic conditions, the ratio of output of finished products is as follows:

  • Top grade flour – 68,4%
  • The 1st grade flour – 0,5%
  • The 2d grade flour - 8,5%
  • Bran - 22,4%

Output may vary depending on grain quality and equipment settings.

4 lines work nowadays. The fifth line is under reconstruction. Productive capacity of 4 lines at working for 24 hours will be as follows: Processing of 460 kg of grain x 4 lines = 1840 kg x 24 hours = 44160 kg/a day.

When 4 lines are working for 24 hours, output of the finished products will be as follows:

  • 30205 kg of top grade flour
  • 220 kg of the 1st grade flour
  • 3753 kg of the 2d grade flour
  • 9891 kg of bran

The flour meets the requirements of GSTU (National Standards of Ukraine) 46.004-99 “Wheat flour. Specifications”, and has CERTIFICATE No. 3891 and CERTIFICATE No. 3892 dated November 16, 2021, which meets the requirements of regulatory documents issued by State Enterprise “Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Research and Technology Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification” and Food and Industrial Products Testing and Research and Development Center.

Flour is packaged into 25 kg and 50 kg bags. The line for packaging into 1 kg and 2 kg bags is under reconstruction. The bran is sold without packages, and in 25 kg bags.

Brief description of the process

The laboratory of the Company specifies the grain quality and prepares a batch for grinding. Grain is delivered via weighing scale of the Company to truck loader GUAR-30; then the grain is delivered via conveyor equipment to the mill in raw material department, where it is distributed as per categories into four bunkers, each one of 25 tons.

Then the grain batch for grinding is delivered to separator for cleaning. After cleaning the grain is moistened by moister machine, and then it is delivered via augers for lying into five bunkers, each one of 10 tons. After lying the grain is delivered to roller mill, millstone, where it is grinded. After grinding the grain is processed by screen (sifting machine), where it is divided into different fractions of flour grades and bran. Flour is delivered by a fan to packaging area, and bran is delivered through grinder into four bunkers, each one of 12 tons. After packaging into 25 kg and 50 kg bags the flour is transported for storage to finished products warehouse before selling it.
